  1. In regards to your 3rd question about if the founding fathers would want this much compromising, I would say that they would not want this much compromising. First off, they would be unhappy with the strong division between political parties in our government. This leads to compromise being the only way things can get done. The founding fathers would have wanted an individual to fight for what they wanted until they got it, not have to give in to everyone's opinion in the process.

Your 6th question asks how government should crack down on illegal immigration. I strongly believe this a growing problem in our country, especially with the jobs these illegal immigrants are taking from Americans. In order to crack down, I believe we should position military on the borders and provide extra defense to keep them out. We should also force them to go through the entire process and become a U.S. citizen the right way.

  2. << Why do you think the census asks about a person's race? >>

The data gathered from the census might establish statistics that the government might release. For the topic of race, for example, the government may say that more immigrants have moved to the United States in the past 10 years than ever before. The same data may be used to predict future trends as well.

<< Why do you think Americans love the ideas of government and not the process of it? >>

It seems that Americans love to make a "choice"; the current system that we have now, a representative democracy, allows Americans to have that choice. Many Americans take pride in their government; some, for example, look down on the government systems in the Great Britain and Vietnam. However, the process is the part that Americans do not like. There is corruption and scandal in the government, as well as the idea of "popular sovreignty" - eg, the elected president may try to make changes that certain individuals do not want. They may not agree with what the government is doing.
